If you have a chipped tooth, broken tooth or tooth decay, there is a strong chance you may need a tooth filling.
Dental fillings at Albany Village Dental are usually composite (white) tooth fillings that are used for routine direct restorations. We do not use any mercury-containing materials for any of our patients.
There are two types of tooth fillings:
Anterior (front) highly aesthetic fillings are designed to mimic the colour, and the shape and contours of the teeth in a way they can’t be seen. Filling at Albany Village Dental are done using the latest technologies and equipment to have them done not just looking good, but with ease and having you comfortable all the time.
Best materials, made to be bio-compatible and from the top worldwide manufacturers, are used as tooth filling at our Northshore dental clinic. These materials help us provide the best result and the high quality tooth filling dental service for each of our patients.
Posterior (back) dental fillings are used in back teeth, mainly to restore function and structure, and to ensure it accepts the loading on the material. Back filling in Albany Village Dental is still white in colour, to give the best results as well as the best looks when smiling.
Amalgam was used for that purpose in the previous era of dentistry, but apart from having poor aesthetics and bad looks, it caused various problems to the structure of the teeth, causing further cracks and chipping of teeth. At our North Shore dentist clinic, we provide amalgam removal service and replacement using the appropriate techniques and restorations.
If you have a few amalgam filling please call us to make an assessment booking, and we can discuss the possible treatment options.
